Nusa Dua, Bali
Nusa Dua, Bali’s most exclusive beach resort area, is home to many of the island’s five-star international luxury chain hotels. These hotels mostly offer wonderfully secluded beachfronts, sparsely laid out around the 350-hectare peninsular area on Bali’s south-easternmost coastline. Here, well-manicured tropical gardens, fountains and ponds adorn pathways that interconnect hotels with The Bay Bali dining and leisure complex, the Nusa Dua Theatre where the spectacular Devdan Show performs, and Museum Pasifika, which houses rare and historical artefacts and paintings from 25 countries.
Despite the luxurious aspects of Nusa Dua, you’ll still find serene nature scenes like the sun rising over the bay between the two namesake peninsulas. For shopping, there’s the Bali Collection right in the centre, while local art shops offering souvenirs and cheap bargains line the enclave’s perimeter. The Bali National Golf Club, just south of the resort complexes offers 18-hole course action with its overflowing green fairways, while thrilling water sports awaits just further north in the adjoining resort area of Tanjung Benoa.
